At Premium Puzzles, sustainability is at the heart of making and selling our shaped wooden jigsaw puzzles. From materials to packaging, we’re committed to minimising our environmental impact.
Sustainable materials
Our jigsaw puzzles are made from high-quality medium-density fibreboard (MDF). MDF is durable and does not blemish like other wood products. We source MDF from responsibly managed forests, and proudly support sustainable forestry practices.
Low-waste manufacturing
We’ve designed our manufacturing process to be eco-friendly, using advanced cutting techniques to minimize waste. Any excess wood is recycled. For example, we make our business cards from the wood left over in the process of making our animal and bird-shaped jigsaw puzzles.
Plastic-free boxes
As we’re committed to reducing plastic waste, our puzzle boxes don’t use any plastic. Our puzzle boxes are made from the same sustainably sourced MDF as the puzzles.
Local production
We reduce air miles by making our puzzles locally in Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.
